To configure redial options

  1. Open Network Connections.
  2. Right-click the dial-up connection you want to configure, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Options tab, in Redialing options, click the arrows to set the number of times the dial-up connection is automatically redialed if the first attempt to connect fails.
  4. In Time between redial attempts, click the down arrow to set the amount of time to pause between the end of one attempt and the beginning of another.
  5. In Idle time before hanging up, click the down arrow to set the amount of idle time before a client hangs up a connection.
  6. If you want the connection to automatically redial if the line is dropped, select the Redial if line is dropped check box.
